2017 was a remarkable year for Heat Roadmap Europe, as we were able to gather data with a level of detail never perceived before for the heating and cooling technologies and markets in Europe. This data concerns GIS mapping in 14 European countries, the status on H&C demands in 2015 and a baseline scenario towards 2050. With an innovative methodological approach, HRE also attracted attention outside of EU, creating dialogues with experts from Ukraine, United States and China. In the HRE team, we are excited to see that the results and tools developed in HRE4 are now supporting a change in the European H&C systems towards a more sustainable future.
