2017 has been for me a year full of challenging and exciting projects, travels and events. One of the highlights was the organisation of the Heat Roadmap Europe workshop in Brussels. It was very important from a strategic point of view as it featured the presentation of the first tangible project results: profiling Europe’s heating and cooling demand and public launch & demonstration of the Pan-European Thermal Atlas.
Another memorable moment of the year was related to the Euroheat & Power Congress in Glasgow. I had a chance to represent our services and projects at the DHC+ Pavilion, moderate a very interactive congress session on digitalisation and was happy to see the winners of the 5th International DHC+ Student Awards shine on stage.
Finally, 2017 was the year of the 5th International DHC+ Summer School in Belgium. A Summer School with a remarkable group of people from all over Europe, with very innovative lectures and site visits, with lots of fun and good Belgian chocolate! I’m proud to be related to this initiative of DHC+/EHP that creates a European network of DHC “ambassadors”.
